Choosing Open from the File menu brings up a standard Macintosh file dialog window. This allows users to select and open (load into memory) a survey file previously saved on disk. Only CavePlot survey files are displayed. Opening a file from disk erases the survey data currently in memory and replaces it with the survey data loaded from the file on disk. Selecting the “Cancel” button returns to the main screen without opening a new file or erasing the survey currently in memory.
CavePlot will save a backup copy of the data in memory, prior to replacing it, if "Open Backup" is selected on the Preferences Window.
